The Quarry
The heart of Hopewell Quarry is the natural swimming area, surrounded by rock cliffs and shaded by trees. Whether you’re jumping in, floating, or just taking in the view, it’s a one-of-a-kind place to spend a summer day. Free inner tubes are available, making it easy to relax and drift in the water at your own pace. If you want to bring your own tube, please bring small inner tubes without mesh bottoms, heads, tails, or wings.
For a more traditional swim, the pool offers a calm and accessible option for all ages. With a gradual depth from about 1.5 to 4 feet, it’s especially great for younger swimmers or anyone looking for a more relaxed experience. It’s an easy place to cool off, unwind, or take a break from the quarry while still enjoying a full day outdoors.
Swim lessons are available upon request by our trained lifeguards.
The Swimming Pool
Bring your own food and settle in (no alcohol of course). With picnic tables, open lawn space, and plenty of shade, it’s easy to spend hours relaxing with family and friends. Built-in grills are available throughout the area, making it a great spot to cook, eat, and enjoy the day between swims.

Between swims, there’s always something to do. Jump into a volleyball game, grab a snack, or wander the grounds and take it all in. Whether you’re looking to stay active or just relax and enjoy the atmosphere, the quarry offers a little something for everyone.
